Fall fishing for bull redfish is in full swing right now at the jetties in Port O’Connor. If you haven’t experienced the fight of a 53-inch bull while watching the fish swim out of your hands after a 45 minute battle, you wouldn’t understand. The excitement that goes along with each run is plan crazy. Bay Flats bull red enthusiast Captain Nathan Beabout has been fishing for these fish most of his adult life, and really knows how, where and when to fish. Yesterday was no exception! He put Jeff and guests on 17- BIG FISH. The photos are enough evidence for me. (All fish were safely released to swim another day)
TROUT IN SCHOOL
Meanwhile the lodge welcomed 23-guests and plus 9 other guests all from the same company with their customers for a busy Tuesday. Every boat managed to find scores of trout with some guides finding both. Props to Capt’s, TJ, Harold, Rick, Cooper, Nick, Jonathan, David, Steve and Jason.
TOPS & TAILS
Captain Jason who loves to punch tops and tails – plus corky lures year round, found himself fishing with very experienced anglers. Mike T. and crew picked up full limits of trout while wade fishing. According to Captain Jason “These guys were on auto pilot, I got out of their way; it was all them.”
