The last name Hunt couldn’t have been any more perfect for a south Texas boy like Capt. John Hunt. Hunting and fishing is Capt. John’s biggest passion, and he wakes up every day feeling blessed that he gets to make a living doing what he loves.
He was born and raised in Port Lavaca, Texas, but he now resides in the small bayside town of Seadrift with his wife and children. He has worked in construction as a rig welder for the past several years, but has always loved the water. Ever since he can remember, John’s been on the water with his dad and uncle running the bays and learning how to target fish. From East Matagorda Bay, all the way to Carlos Bay, and everywhere in between, Capt. John’s affection is catching fish and killing ducks. He strives to be the best that he can possibly be, and he absolutely loves the look on a guest’s face when they catch a good fish. He is truly devoted to helping folks make memories that’ll last a life time.
