On Sunday a van pulled in from San Antonio airport loaded with enough camera gear to film a movie. We’ve done several TV show’s in the past, but never seen this many cases of tripods, TV cameras, and gear before. DU TV is not messing around! Everyone was excited to meet our new guests and the production crew seem just excited to film.
You know it’s duck season by the smell of fresh coffee, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy- all being prepared by Stephanie. Breakfast starts each morning around 3:30 AM for the next 3 months.
Captain Nathan found full limits 24-ducks for Kyle S. all way from Kentucky & Nashville on day-2. The crew also had Shotgun Sadie along doing all the retrieving, and according to Captain Nathan “She retrieved up to 4 teal in her mouth, and went back later to get 3 spoonbills in her mouth at once.”
Tim J. and guests found limits of redheads with Captain Harold on day-2. They said there were just not that many other birds in the air. Tim always likes bringing his lab, and Captain Harold stated “His dog did really well.”Captain Jason found his group with around 15-ducks on day-2 with the George G. party. Captain Harold had the pleasure to take friend and customer Milam L. and family on an afternoon hunt opening day. Everyone had a blast and brought straps of ducks back.
