Capt. Perry Rankin hails from the Lake Jackson, Texas, where his father owned a marina and where most of his memorable years were spent either on or near the water. As a young adult, Capt. Perry dedicated six years to the U.S. Air Force, and obtained a degree in Equipment Engineering. Afterwards, he traveled to Idaho and worked in the semiconductor industry, which later took him to Oregon where he continued to fish for saltwater salmon and halibut. After his high-tech career, he went to the British Columbia wilderness where he became a guide for a Canadian lodge for more than eight years. He eventually moved back to Texas where he pursued his true passion for Gulf Coast bay fishing.
Capt. Perry is a great person to get to know if you’re wanting to enjoy all there is to appreciate on your next fishing trip to Bay Flats Lodge. He specializes in showing people, who may not have ever fished, how to have a good time on their first trip to the Texas coast. If you want to have an excellent experience while fishing out on San Antonio Bay, request Capt. Perry Rankin next time you’re at the lodge. You’ll be glad you did!
