Bay Flats Lodge on San Antonio Bay

Some days it all comes together with the weather, wind, customers and luck and that time was this morning as I hosted the four pack of Nathan and his customers Brad, Danny and Neil. Veteran Anglers and Croaker savy, these guys could not improve much that I saw as they moved through the motions of this angling style with grace and purpose. Great to watch as the rod tip flutters and the angler feels the trout’s every move as they attack that natural enemy. We rolled them early with up to 16 in the box and then the bite faded and we go into a move and seek mode. Later we finished off the limit and a few bonus redfish and called it a day before noon. Looking forward to seeing these guys soon and watching the experience unfold once again.

What a great way to slap cancer in the face by returning to Bay Flats to prove that it’s not your time! Had a great time with Greg who has been battling cancer for 5yrs and was not expected to make another fishing trip! Had full limits of trout today accompanied by his brother and nephew. Wind finally laid enough to hit some shell on the open water throwing croaker. Hopefully tomorrow will hold the same results!
