Bay Flats Lodge on San Antonio Bay

The tide is still very high and the reds are still up in the grass. Had these guys pulling reds out of the grass and from around mangroves today with this high tide we are having. Throwing live shrimp under a popping cork seems to be the ticket to get them out of their haunts at the moment. Managed to get a few trout and drum along the shoreline as well.

West Virginia trip to the windy coast for Bay Flats Lodge days of fishing and great food and accommodations. Brought here by a mid coast veteran to enjoy some angling in some of our tougher conditions but all three boats combined put solid numbers up for months of grilled redfish on the half shell and black drum as well as a few trout. Day 2 coming up bouncing around some familiar waters in another super Saturday Texas style.
Our congratulations go out to Jim Mills who is the latest winner of a fishing trip for two from Port Lavaca Auto Group. Enjoy!
