As we continue to relish in all that our great fisheries have to offer, it is important for us to realize the necessity for replenishing that natural resource that we have enjoyed for so many years, and that is why Bay Flats Lodge has partnered with CCA Texas and their National Habitat Program, the Building Conservation Trust.
If you would like to show your support for conserving, promoting, and enhancing the present and future availability of coastal resources, Bay Flats Lodge will automatically match dollar-for-dollar your donation toward these tremendous efforts.
They Keep on Giving
Bay Flats Lodge customers are giving generously to Building Conservation Trust and Bay Flats Lodge is happy to match those donations. Here’s a picture of some of the BFL guides and the check that will be going to Building Conservation Trust for the donations in April. All of these funds are building and conserving fishing habitat here on the Central Texas Coast. Thank you to all of our Bay Flats Lodge customers for giving back and helping provide a better fishery for us all.
It’s another record setting month at Bay Flats Lodge. The generosity of our customers continues to amaze us. This month Bay Flats Lodge customers donated $1766.33. to The Building Conservation Trust and we’re happy to match their gift. These funds are going directly to building and restoring fishing habitat on the Central Texas coast. So even if you haven’t been to Bay Flats and contributed personally all of us who love the coastal area are beneficiaries.
A big thank you to Construction Leadership Council – CLC – Austin ChapterAustin Chapter AGC for showing you care about the bay system and marine habitat. Your donation is very appreciate by many. BCT and CCA have a strong partnership that has resulted in severl succesful marine habitat projects throughout the years. The relationship is now expanding through a partnership with Bay Flats Lodge Resort & Marina. Together, these three groups along with guests are enhancing marine life from Matagorda Bay to Rockport that will be appreciated and enjoyed by the local community for many generations to come.
Since partnering with The Building Conservation Trust customers at Bay Flats Lodge have been contributing to help protect and build fish habitat on the Central Texas coast. June has been our biggest month yet and Bay Flats Lodge is excited to match our customer’s donations. With generous donations from L&S Mechanical and FSG Electric on June 30th we surpassed the $5000.00 mark for the first time. There are many reasons to be part of an effort to protect and build fish habitatbut one of the most important is the generations that will follow us. Two of the pictures accompanying this post are of a grandfather and his three grandsons. These kids are the perfect example of why Bay Flats Lodge is so excited about our partnership with BCT. Bay Flats Lodge wants to do all we can to make sure future generations have the opportunity to enjoy the amazing fishery that is the middle Texas Coast.
When you make your living from the water it only makes sense to take care of that water. We at Bay Flats Lodge continue to do our best to do just that. Partnering with The Building Conservation Trust allows us to join our customers in making sure the Middle Texas Coast fishery gets better and better. The picture accompanying this post is of a few of our guides who are just as committed to this project as anyone else. Like everyone else here at Bay Flats Lodge they make their living from the fishery around us so giving back just makes sense.

There are times and events that remind us just how blessed we are. This morning was one of those times for me. Here at Bay Flats Lodge we had our annual meeting with the guides, staff and ownership. The picture that accompanies this post is of our guides and the check written to the Building Conservation Trust this month. I’m blessed to work for great owners Chris and Deb Martin. I’m also privileged to work with the best group of professional guides anywhere. Add to that equation an outstanding management staff I share an office with and I’m one lucky guy. And don’t miss the number on that check. Our generous guest contributed $2005.00 dollars in January which was matched by Bay Flats Lodge and every dollar goes to creating a better fishery here on the Central Texas Coast. Life comes with good and bad for all of us but today I was reminded of just how much good I have to be thankful for.
