Scott Hataway-Guide

Captain Scott Hataway is a 2001 graduate from Texas A&M University and now lives in Port Lavaca just a short drive from Seadrift.  Capt. Scott Hataway has been fishing and hunting the Seadrift/Port O'Connor area for over 14-years. He loves to hunt and fish with the hardcore outdoor enthusiast as well as families and children. He will also share his knowledge of the bay systems around Port O'Connor and make the experience an enjoyable one!  Capt. Scott loves to wade fish with artificial lures for Trout and Redfish, but he knows at certain times of the year you can't beat live bait. When the Redfish run starts he can often be found at the Port O'Connor jetties targeting oversized Redfish. Capt. Scott also guides duck hunts in the back- bay marshes of Matagorda Island.

Fishing the Port O’Connor area bay system, Espiritu  Santo Bay, San Antonio Bay, Matagorda Bay and surf. These waters offer the most productive fishing habitat found on the Texas Gulf Coast. Speckled Trout, Redfish, and Flounder are the game of choice, referred to as "The Texas Grand Slam!!!"
