Alan West lives in Victoria just a short drive from Seadrift , and has been fishing the Texas coast from the time he could walk and fish the flats with his father on his home made airboat from Port Mansfield to Port O'Conner , fishing has been a passion for him all of his life . He has been fishing the Port O'Conner area for 9 years and has been guiding for 4 years . Allen runs a 21 foot Majek redfish line with a 150 Yamaha V-Max HPDI , It gets him to the fish and to all the duck hunting areas that the ducks inhabit. All his fishing tackle is Shimano with TTF rods & WaterLoo rods . He is married to Jackie West with 4 children ,three boys and one girl . Allen has managed ranches in the hill country of Texas and has worked in the Oilfield of South Texas.
